Day #11 - September 16, 2008. We will ride from Barstow, CA to Santa Monica, CA (148 miles). We will go to the Santa Monica Pier, have lunch at Bubba Gumps, then walk the pier to the end, have a group picture, give hugs, and head out. After we leave Santa Monica the Hampton Inn & Suites Motel in Colton, CA will be available for our last night on the road together. I was totally unable to find a motel in Santa Monica under $199 a night. I didn't want to do that and did think anyone else would. That is the reason for going back to Colton.
