Sunday morning I left my daughter's house and the weather was just a little
threatening
I ran in rain, sleet and snow on my way to Denver and that was the only picture
I took on Sunday. Sunday night I went into Denver and stayed with my Aunt
Bea. Monday morning Aunt Bea and I took off on a road trip to Estes Park.
On the way we went through Big Thompson Canyon. If you remember about 20
years ago this canyon flooded and killed several people. They claimed the
water was over 100 feet deep right where I took these pictures
. You know sometimes the sky is so blue you just have to take a picture
.
In Estes Park we spotted a Bull Elk and his Harem
. We also found a little snow
. It was a really great day, and that evening we had dinner with a couple
of Aunt Bea's friends, then went over to my cousin's place and I got to meet his
new bride. This is Bobby and Pam, Bobby is Aunt Bea's Son.
.
The next morning (September 25) I say goodbye to Aunt Bea and her friend Jim
.
I leave Denver in the sun shine and about 55 degrees. 524 miles later I am
in Marysville, Kansas where I spent the night at my friends house DeWayne and
Dian. They were in Palm Springs, CA visiting their kids Bill and Michelle
(remember I spent a night with them last week). Well a friend of DeWayne
and Dian's come over and unlocked the house and I spent the night
.
There house was the last picture I took. From Marysville, Kansas it was
350 mile home and I had a beautiful day and was glad to be home.
