Fresno, CA to Ukiah, CA (293 miles)
Today was mostly just riding and enjoying the country.
At Chowchilla, CA I stopped for gas and make a visit to
Almond Tree Hulling Company
I seen all the piles of something and just had to find out what it was.
I stopped in the office and was about to meet some of the nicest people in
California.
Of course I can't remember
everyone's name but all the ladies have their own Relay for Life Team and raised
$6000 last year for the ACS. They bought some
pins and I gave everyone stickers and ideas for next year. I have decided
to make them our sister Relay for Life Team.
I do remember John the manager who took me around and told me all about almonds

I learned that the pile on the left is hulls and the pile on the rihet is
shells>
Who would have thought that a little old almond would have a hull and a shell

Also the shell are sold for burning to a power company and the shells are sold
for cattle feed. I see I did learn something.
All this was in the town of Hopeland, CA. I have no idea
what this lady is all about but it is interesting
