Colton, CA to Fresno, CA (271 miles)
I got into some hot weather (104 degree) on my way to Fresno but I seen some really interesting things.
On my way to Fresno I stopped at
Bidart Dairy Farm, the place is hugh (7000 cows) and beautiful. All of you
on the Ride for the Relay trip know
I was involved in the business.
While traveling north I seen a lot
of what I thought were peach trees. I finally stopped and asked
what the tree were and they were Almond Trees.
I stopped and picked up nuts off the ground,
was able to break the shell with my hand, and ate nuts right there. The
best Almonds I ever ate.
Also along the way I keep seeing
these large fields of green plants about 2 feet tall with flowers
on them, so I asked an
AT&T workman along the road what it was. It was cotton.

Next I stop a a grape harbor
to find out that it was a Raisin Farm.
Following a great drive through the
California country I ended up at the Holiday Inn
in downtown Fresno.
