September 12, 2006 9am Leaving Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
We made an early start this morning 8am. We decided to go down town to the
Murrah Federal Building Memorial. I made a few wrong turns, suspected that
Memorial Drive would go by the Memorial but it didn't, it was within 15 miles so
we back tracked and it was all worth it. I am now going to let the
pictures tell today story.
This is entering the memorial on the west side. There is a fence on both
sides of the entrance where people hang their memorials
This is looking east.
This
is looking west.
These
two people designed the memorial. Someone was filming a story about them.
Random pictures. It was hard leaving this place and we didn't get back on the road until 11am.
The following are pictures taken at the Route 66 Museum in Clinton, Oklahoma. Enjoy stepping back in time.

Wayne Early from Amarillo joined us at the Texas border and road back to Amarillo where we were joined by David Griffin and Robert Whitaker. These guys all belong go Chapter A. After the introductions we all went into The Big Texan Steak House. I had a really good prime rib but did not try the 72oz steak. We bid the Chapter A member farewell and went back to the motel.
