Route 66 Oklahoma metal signRoute 66 Texas metal signSeptember 12, 2006  9am Leaving Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  We made an early start this morning 8am.  We decided to go down town to the Murrah Federal Building Memorial.  I made a few wrong turns, suspected that Memorial Drive would go by the Memorial but it didn't, it was within 15 miles so we back tracked and it was all worth it.  I am now going to let the pictures tell today story.

Wayne Early from Amarillo joined us at the Texas border and road back to Amarillo where we were joined by David Griffin and Robert Whitaker.  These guys all belong go Chapter A.  After the introductions we all went into The Big Texan Steak House.  I had a really good prime rib but did not try the 72oz steak.  We bid the Chapter A member farewell and went back to the motel.
